Large mining mills and other heavy mining equipment, is “made in Luoyang” representative of the product. The large mining mills designed and produced by CITIC Heavy Industries have been awarded as “China Famous Brand Products”, and the low-speed and heavy-duty extra-large bearings used in them have not yet been fully localised.
Through this “strong joint venture”, the two State Key Laboratories will give full play to the advantages of national science and innovation platform, through strengthening technology research, upgrading industry chain cooperation, joint breakthroughs in mining heavy equipment special extra-large bearing “neck” technology, to achieve Key core technology independent control, break the monopoly of the imported bearing market, to promote independent innovation of mining heavy equipment bearings, build a new mining heavy equipment quality evaluation system.

The State Key Laboratory of Aeronautical Precision Bearings and the State Key Laboratory of Heavy Equipment for Mines are the State Key Laboratories of the enterprises relying on Luo Shaft and CITIC Heavy Industries respectively.
The former is oriented to the current and future development of China’s aviation industry and the bearing industry’s major needs, in the high-end precision bearing design theory, manufacturing process, test technology and other aspects of the important innovative results; the latter in the field of mineral mill R & D deep plowing, and constantly break the foreign monopoly, to promote the key technology research of large-scale mining mill equipment was included in the national key basic research and development program.
