On April 18, SKF and Sinoma High-Tech Nitride Ceramics Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Sinoma High-Tech Nitride”) formally signed a letter of intent to cooperate at the SKF booth at the Shanghai Auto Show to jointly expand the prospects of quality, localization and scale application of ceramic balls.

Through this in-depth cooperation, both parties will give full play to their respective advantages in silicon nitride materials, ceramic ball production and bearing applications to jointly develop and produce ceramic balls for applications including new energy vehicles and precision machine tools, providing the Chinese market with reliable quality hybrid ceramic ball bearing products and solutions.

All along, Sinoma High-Tech Nitride and SKF have maintained a good foundation of cooperation. Since 2017, SKF’s powder plant in Sweden, Vesta Si, has been supplying high-quality silicon nitride powder to Sinoma High-Tech Nitride, and has continuously helped Sinoma High-Tech Nitride to improve its quality system, ceramic ball surface inspection capability and optimize the manufacturing process.
Last year, Sinoma High-Tech Nitride formally passed SKF’s ceramic ball inspection requirements and supplied ceramic balls to SKF, becoming the first ceramic ball supplier in China to be included in SKF’s supplier system, and the two sides achieved cooperation from raw material supply to quality product manufacturing.
