Zhongning Pumped Storage Power Station Project

Recently, a consortium formed by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group, Qinghai Yellow River Upstream Hydropower Development Company Limited and Ningxia Transportation Investment Group Company Limited, successfully won the tender for the Zhongning Pumped Storage Power Station Project.

The project is located on the right bank of the Yellow River in Dajingzi, Zhonghuai County, Zhongning City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and is a key project in the 14th Five-Year Plan of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region’s Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Pumped Storage (2021-2035), with a regulated reservoir capacity of 7.19 million cubic metres in both the upper and lower reservoirs, and an initial installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts. The total investment is about RMB 7.1 billion. After the completion of the power station, the annual power generation capacity can reach 2.81 billion kilowatt hours, which can effectively improve the safe and stable operation level of the power grid and the utilization rate of clean energy in Zhongwei area of Ningxia, with significant economic, ecological and social benefits.

Luzhou Natural Gas Power Generation Project

On April 10, China Energy Construction Southwest Institute, as the lead unit of the consortium, was successfully awarded the EPC contract for the Sichuan Investment Luzhou Natural Gas Power Generation Project.

Located in Jiangbei Town, Jiang Yang District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, the project will use the world’s most advanced 9H-class gas-fired units to build two sets of 700MW gas-steam combined cycle units and related ancillary facilities. The project is a key project in Sichuan Province in 2023 and an important power supply point in Sichuan Province’s 14th Five-Year Plan for power development. Upon completion, the project will help improve the stability and security of regional power supply in southern Sichuan, optimise the power supply structure of Sichuan Province, realise local conversion of natural gas resources and promote social and economic development.

Tianjin Grand Canal and Haihe Cultural Tourism Belt

Expansion and Improvement Project

On 27 March, CEC Tianjin won the tender for the general contract for the power supply project of the Tianjin Grand Canal and Haihe Cultural Tourism Belt Expansion and Improvement Project (Phase I Project).

The overall scope of the project covers the Grand Canal Xintiandi Pier (Water Fun Park Pier) to the mouth of the Sanji River, with a total length of 36.2 kilometres, involving five urban areas in Tianjin. As a key project in the construction of cultural tourism in Tianjin during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the project will provide stable power supply for the Grand Canal Terminal and help to achieve the design effect of “one terminal, one attraction, one internet celebrity”, which will create a unique cultural atmosphere in Tianjin when it is put into operation. The Grand Canal and Haihe cultural tourism project will become a super city IP of Tianjin.

Ulaanchab 1.5 million kilowatts of wind, fire, storage and hydrogen integration

Large-scale wind power and photovoltaic base project

Recently, China Energy Construction Dongdian I won the bid for the EPC general contracting project of the 2 sections of the Jingneng Ulaanchab 1.5 million kilowatts wind-fire-hydrogen storage integrated large-scale wind power PV base project, with the winning bid amount of 1.62 billion RMB. China Energy Construction Guangdong Thermal Power won the bid for the EPC general contracting project of the 3rd tender section of the project, with the winning bid amounting to RMB 1.5 billion.
The project is located in Liangcheng County, Ulanqab City, with a total installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts. After completion, the project is expected to produce about 3.6 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity per year, save about 1.25 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 3.04 million tons, which will further promote the construction of clean energy bases, accelerate the implementation of green power into Beijing base construction progress, improve the proportion of renewable energy consumption in Beijing, and comprehensively help the country It will further promote the construction of clean energy bases, accelerate the progress of implementing the construction of green power bases into Beijing, increase the proportion of renewable energy consumption in Beijing, and fully help the country achieve its “double carbon” target and promote social and economic development.

Xinjiang Mubi Carbon Dioxide Compressed Air Energy Storage

Comprehensive Energy Demonstration Project Supporting 1 Million Kilowatts

Recently, China Energy Construction Xinjiang Academy won the bid for the survey and design of the “Huadian Xinjiang Mubi Carbon Dioxide Compressed Air Energy Storage Integrated Energy Demonstration Project Supporting 1 Million Kilowatts of Wind Power and Photovoltaic Project”.
The project is one of the “new policy-based development financial instruments to support market-oriented grid-connected new energy projects” in 2022, and is a comprehensive energy demonstration project consisting of new carbon dioxide compressed air energy storage, electrochemical energy storage and 1 million kilowatts of new energy (600,000 kilowatts of wind power and 400,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic). It is also one of the first new energy projects in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to adopt the new carbon dioxide energy storage technology route and the largest single new energy target to date in Mubi County of Xinjiang Changji Prefecture.

Inner Mongolia Jinshan Thermal Power Plant Coal-to-Power Expansion Project

Recently, China Energy Construction East China Academy was awarded the tender for the survey and design services for the 2×1 million kilowatt coal-fired power plant expansion project of Jinshan Thermal Power Plant of Inner Mongolia Energy Group.

The project is located in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is an expansion project of Jinshan Thermal Power Plant, with the construction scale of 2 sets of 1,000,000 kilowatts high-efficiency ultra-supercritical air-cooled coal-fired generating units. The project will effectively supplement the power supply gap in Inner Mongolia and the heating gap in Hohhot City after the project is put into operation.

Hunan Yuanjiang 270MW PV Project

On April 6, China Energy Construction Zhongdian New Energy Company received a notice of award from the owner, winning the bid for the 270 MW fishery and photovoltaic EPC turnkey project in Yuanjiang, Hunan Province.

The project is located in South Dazian Town, Yuanjiang City, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, with a total site area of about 6,700 mu, mostly fish pond water surface. After the project is completed, it can provide an average of 348 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the power grid each year, reducing sulphur dioxide emissions by about 10,400 tons, carbon dioxide by 347,000 tons and carbon dust by about 94,700 tons, with significant energy saving and environmental benefits. It is of positive significance to increase the proportion of clean energy installed in Hunan and accelerate the achievement of the regional “double carbon” target.

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Power Plant 2×1 million kW

Recently, China Energy Construction East China Academy won the tender for the survey and design services for the 2×1 million kilowatts green and high-efficiency coal power project of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Power Plant.

The project proposes to build two megawatt ultra-supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired generating units on the vacant site of Shanghai Pudong New Area East Waigaoqiao Power Plant. The project proposes to adopt clean, low-carbon, high-efficiency and intelligent secondary reheat ultra-supercritical coal-fired unit technology, integrated intelligent management and decision-making, world-leading coal consumption for power supply, ultra-clean emission standards for pollutants, to achieve a safer, more reliable, economical and environmentally friendly unit, flexible and deeply adjustable, better able to adapt to the competitive environment of the power market, and ultimately to build a world-class demonstration power plant with natural ecology, intelligence and high quality and efficiency.

Honghe Power Plant Expansion Project (1×700MW)

On April 6, China Energy Construction Southwest Institute, as the lead unit of the consortium, won the EPC contract for the expansion project of Honghe Power Plant (1×700MW) of Yunnan Energy Investment Honghe Power Co.
The project is located in the Green Textile Technology Industrial Park in Kaiyuan City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and will build a 700MW ultra-supercritical circulating fluidised bed coal-fired power generation unit with wet cooling and simultaneous construction of flue gas desulphurisation and denitrification units. The project adopts the largest single-capacity circulating fluidized bed unit in China, combined with the industry-leading CFB power generation technology of Southwest Institute, and the key indicators such as coal consumption per kWh, plant-wide thermal efficiency and unit flexibility are far better than the latest national energy efficiency and environmental protection policy requirements. Upon completion, the project will effectively meet the needs of the 14th Five-Year Plan and medium to long-term load growth in Yunnan Province, and provide energy security for the high-quality development of Yunnan Province.

Zhongan Chuanggu Technology Park Phase III Large-scale

assembled public construction project

Recently, China Energy Construction Group was awarded the EPC contract for the large-scale assembled public construction project of Zhongan Chuanggu Science and Technology Park Phase III.
The project is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Wangxi Road and Peacock Terrace Road in Hefei High-tech Zone, with a total construction area of 227,400 square metres, a height of 99 metres, a total of 11 single blocks, including the construction of underground human protection garage, and an assembled laminated slab + staircase + internal partition wall concrete structure. With standardized design as the traction, the plan layout is flexible and mobile, and the façade shape is novel and modern. Upon completion, the project will become an international science and innovation community where science and innovation talents gather, science and innovation capital converge, science and innovation achievements flow, science and innovation industries gather, and “science, industry and city” are integrated, enabling the economic and social development of Gaoxin District and Hefei City.

Recently, China Energy Construction Liaoning Institute won the bid for the photovoltaic survey and design project of Huaneng Dalian Coastal Mudflats Source-grid-Hoardware-Storage Integrated Demonstration Base (Fishery and Photovoltaic Complementary).

The project is located in Pikou Street, Pulandian District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. The project will utilize the mudflat sea cucumber farming area to develop and build a 100MW fishery and photovoltaic complementary photovoltaic power generation project, exploring the “cucumber and light” industry model. As one of the 2022 Liaoning Province photovoltaic power generation demonstration projects, the project will save land resources, improve the utilisation rate of unit space resources and achieve multiple benefits such as green power generation, as well as help solve the energy supply and pollution problems of sea cucumber production. It is of great significance and demonstration.
