On the morning of May 15, Daikin Air Conditioning South China Production Base Project started construction in Luoyang Street, Boluo County. The project, with a total investment of 1.75 billion yuan, is the first production base built by Daikin Air Conditioning in South China. The first phase of the project is expected to be put into operation in October next year, which will inject new momentum into Boluo’s growing manufacturing industry and promote high-quality development.

The project is invested and constructed by Daikin (China) Investment Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd, Japan, mainly for VRV household air conditioners, inverter P-board production base and sales centre and logistics centre in South China. The total investment of the project is RMB 1.75 billion, with a total land area of approximately 220,000 square metres. The first phase of the project, with a construction area of 60,000 sqm, is scheduled to be commissioned in October 2024. The project is expected to have a turnover of RMB7 billion when it reaches full production.
The project is the third large-scale production base of Daikin after Shanghai and Suzhou, and is the first production base of Daikin in South China, and will become the largest production base of Daikin in China after completion. Izumo Shin said that the successful settlement of Daikin air conditioners is inseparable from the strong support of the local government. In order to expand its business, Daikin has set its sights on Huizhou City, a city with strong potential for industrial development, and is building an environmentally friendly and energy-saving factory there with the core concept of “energy conservation and environmental protection”, making the Huizhou factory a benchmark for Daikin.
