Industrial control giant ABB announces heavy acquisition!
Aurora Motors is a global supplier of vertical pump motors
ABB has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Aurora Motors.
The acquisition brings the company a highly regarded product portfolio, a solid customer base in 30 countries, an experienced customer-focused sales structure, and solid partnerships with strategic suppliers.
Aurora Motors is a $4 million US-based supplier of vertical pump motors with engineering and operations located in Shanghai, China, and corporate offices and distribution centre in Hayward, California.
The transaction is expected to close before the end of fiscal year 2024.
The transaction is part of the Motion business area’s strategy for profitable growth and will help the NEMA Motors division enhance its product offerings, expand its supply chain, and increase support for its global customer base.
The global NEMA motors industry is approximately $3.4 billion, including industrial motors used primarily in North America.
NEMA motors are a critical component in the operation of equipment in industries such as food and beverage, oil and gas, mining and aggregates, and water and wastewater treatment, as well as in applications such as air, fluids, and fixtures.
